Oh how I have waited

Like a worn-out Mommy waits for naptime (or church nursery)... I have waited for these photos to arrive in my mailbox. I'm sure there are funnier comparisons (Charlotte or Heidi - where are you??) but naptime is the other thing I'm always anticipating. Anyway, we found a wonderful photographer here in Savannah and we just got our pics back from the photo shoot at Forsyth park. She was awesome... and also we are an incredibly photogenic family. Why give the professional photographer all the credit? These look even better if you click on them.

Those eyes!!
This is my handsome husband. I did well in the marrying department.

She sucked her fingers through the whole thing.

I love this one. Madilyn is trying to tickle Audrey.

Just some pics of the girls

The video at the bottom is a little grainy - I just wanted to show how much fun Audrey has in her little jumper.

Only a Grandma

Only a Grandma could possibly want to see this many pictures of my kids... so to all of you non-grandmas, you've been warned.Audrey is getting bigger - still not sleeping through the night - But how can I get upset with this face??Our ward's halloween carnival. They don't do anything 1/2 way here.
This is one of the better shots of Madilyn in her costume. Audrey wasn't really having anything to do with hers... so no pics.

Grammie's halloween package. Let the sugar rush begin. This is date night - with our kids.
Earlier we played at Forsyth park. Audrey was happy to lay and watch.
Madilyn decided it would be better for me to take pictures of her playing catch with her dad than for me to play catch with him.
When Grandma Gayle and Grandpa Ron were in town we did caramel apples.

Audrey's blessing. Grammie and Christy picked out this beautiful dress. So fabulous.

More family pics of the blessing day.

I really love this shot with Audrey, Grandma and Grandpa. Very well coordinated.

We also went to a carnival during the Spjut family visit. It's nice to be the oldest kid. You get to do all kinds of things we 'll stop doing by the time the younger ones are old enough.

Carnival rides, pony rides. I even let her ride on those quarter-sucking contraptions at the entrance to the grocery store.

New clothes from Grammie. Looks good.

Mega Post

Here is what you get when I take forever to post... The highlights footage.

Yep, I'm that kind of mom...If you ask me enough, then I just might let you do it. Part II - Happy 30th in CA

Purty, Purty Amie turned 30

All gifts were related to lookin' good

And yes, all Adams family birthday parties are named with a rhyme. It all started with "Nifty, Nifty Frank turned 50" (Sorry to reveal Dad's actual age)

And if we can't find a rhyming word, we just don't have a party.

And by the way -it was a fabulous party.

We took the kids to see Great Grandma Adams

And we took them to the Children's Musuem in Orange County.
This is how Madilyn and Hallie ended the trip. Heads hung over and asleep.

I love this picture of Madilyn and Audrey.

And we had a great weekend with Rachel and Matt. A little downtown Savannah and some BYU football.
Go Cougars!

Savannah's wildlife

So we have started to make our way back out into the world - though not without Ryan to accompany us. Here are some highlights of our Saturday trip to the Oatland Island Wildlife center (aka Savannah's zoo). Madilyn was instantly impressed with the parking lot.

And the rocks she got to throw.

This is Audrey's level of participation. Just the way I like it for now.

Madilyn invited me to sit with her in the bird's nest. Sweet child.
Just to prove that Ryan and I were there. We all know the camera was invented primarily to take pictures of the grandkids.

You can't see, but there are deer in the background. We've actually seen a few near our backyard.

Armadillos may have been the highlight of Madilyn's trip. We also saw wolves and snakes (one was just sitting out in the open on the trail. Of course Ryan had to go investigate whether it was real or not. It was.) So these are the animals indigineous to our area.
And for those of you who have been wondering how Madilyn is adjusting to sharing the spotlight... she has been nothing but helpful. But it is the kind of help which must be closely supervised.

And a big thanks to the grandmas who helped us live through our first two weeks. Or at least made it possible for our kids to survive the first two weeks.
